Regarding efficiency - we've used kamaelia to extract TV from a DVB-T broadcast stream and transcode the contents to disk (shelling out to a transcoder), and IMO python is plenty fast enough :-) I'll look into easy_install (beyond my other comments on my blog). Much of my current work is happening in a branch at present, so I really ought to merge that onto /trunk and make a release. I hadn't realised just how long had passed since the last one - thanks for the reminder! 

To be honest though, regarding making a networked game, I don't think you need all these features as much as you might think (I've certainly been able to build networked games which python/kamaelia despite the "missing" features) - but it is an interesting feature list. As a result I've labelled this a wishlist on my blog rather than a list of missing features :-)</description>
