Joining new XP to my old Samba PDC
Quick tip: if you get some error about “the trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed” when trying to join Windows to your (ancient version?) Samba PDC, you may need to go into Administrative Tools->Local Security Policy, Local Policies->Security Options, and disable “Domain member: Digitally encrypt or sign security channel data (always).” I rebooted, too, just to be safe. I got the above error after I had successfully joined the domain and then tried to create a local user for the domain user (or whatever that process is; the Network ID Wizard has you do it, for example).
