Work in progress

Started coding my first test case yesterday, and I think I even finished it. It seemed like it took a long time, but I did spend a long time with some CRC cards (or something that looked somewhat like CRC cards). I couldn’t find a decent system metaphor, or at least I could find one that was better than the naive metaphor. Closest I could come was a bar, where the bartender was the server, the distillery (or wherever it is they make liquor) was the producer, the bar was the medium for broadcast (server), and the liquor was the data. Obviously the drunkards were the listeners (clients). I’m wondering what the implications of picking a metaphor such as a bar with drunkards are for a group of people. I imagine heavy drinking when the schedule starts to get out of whack.

Watched The Terrorist last night as well as Monsters, Inc. and Unbreakable. I liked Unbreakable more than I may have let on after seeing it; immediately after seeing it I was disappointed because it wasn’t what I was expecting, namely a more mysterious plot.

Should have worked more today, never really got around to it. I just sat down to work now but got stuck reading stuff like ShieldPattern and “Tell, Don’t Ask”. Then there was some TFC administration to do. I also had to take care of chores around the house today, mostly WRT kitty. So no coding yet; hopefully tonight after practice and dinner.
